I am deeply grieved to hear about Kate Mary: one of the people who I most looked forward to meeting after Mass back in Cullen. She is a huge loss to the community. We always talked about Jamie Wall who I saw playing brilliantly for Cork in Tralee and in Croke Park.

Kate Mary was such a big part of our lives growing up, firstly as a teacher and more importantly as a family friend.
She followed our progress with great interest and a card would always arrive from her to mark all the big occasions in our lives.
This continued on again into the next generation.
She was always a pleasure to meet and the conversations were always witty and
entertaining. She will be sorely missed in Cullen and beyond.
