I've heard of your family's terrible tragedy and I'm so sorry for your tragic loss. My deepest condolences to you all from myself and Oisin. Prayers with love for beautiful Kate and you all.

Kate was wise beyond her years, she was full of fun and mischief, whilst being so grounded and focused, in the 12 short months I knew her she became my 2nd brain, my right hand, my human thesaurus and on plenty of occasions my voice of reason - In short she was so much of my day to day

To think we won't hear her stories, listen to her laugh or see that infamous eye roll ever again is such a difficult pill to swallow, so we must be thankful for all of the moments we did have with her, treasure those moments and to talk about her often

To her beloved family, Daniel, Fiona & Christian I hope all of the stories that you have heard the past week will give you comfort as you begin the journey of life without Kate by your sides, Our heart aches for you in her loss.

Kate you will never ever be forgotten, whilst your life was short the memories will be treasured forever, you were a wonderful friend and colleague and we are all richer for having you in our lives.

I only knew Kate in a brief capacity as we met during Matheson’s first year programme. Albeit online, I got the opportunity to work with Kate on a group project she was bright, cheerful and left a lasting impression on us all.

I had the privilege of knowing Kate during our time in the Institute and continuing our friendship whilst studying in UCC. Kate never failed to listen to a rant, offering comfort, yet never missing the opportunity for a lighthearted, quick-witted comment, even in the most dire of circumstances. She was a truly exceptional person whom I was greatly fond of. Kate was liked widely and loved so very deeply. Her absence will not go unnoticed.
