Heartbroken to hear that Kate has passed away. My thoughts are with all her family and friends at this incredibly sad time.

I met Kate through Peter in Wesley college and we became great friends when she lived in Epworth House. We later lived together in Churchtown and in Marley Park. We shared so many laughs — such happy memories that I will always treasure.

The last time we spoke, she talked with such joy and pride about her girls. It was so clear how much she adored them and her family life.

I knew Kate through mutual friends in Wesley, and have memories of fun times in our teen years. She was always a happy, and friendly person.
Jessica and Juliette then spent their school years years in Wesley, and I then knew her then as a Mom.
She continued to be the friendly and happy person, who spoke so proudly of her girls.
We would bump into eachother in Dundrum or the school, and she would stop and chat for ages....
She will be missed by so many.

We are so sorry for your loss. I used to love the chats with Kate on walks around Dun Emer. Her warmth, funny, friendly (and frank!) nature were a joy and her kindness. I remember there was a man sleeping in a tent in the area for a year and her weekly trips to Tesco for him. A beautiful person...

Kate joined Taney in fourth class and what a breath of fresh air she was. She embraced her new surroundings with the exuberance she extended to everything. Her warmth, bright personality and sporting skills endeared her to all. In more recent years as a parent her support, kindness, sense of fun and energy were evident in all her interactions. She will never be forgotten.

Was so shocked when I heard the sad news about Kate. To Woodsy, her daughters, her step children and extended family, my sincere condolences. I remember well the banter and chats we use to have at the Easter festivals, the May festivals and other hockey social events or on the sideline of a pitch after we stopped playing.

Her sense of fun and adventure shone so strongly. She loved a practical joke and her laugh was infectious.

I will always have great memories of Kate as we walked laps of Corinthians hockey pitches while the girls trained. We always had a laugh and a giggle. Kate always had a story or some gossip to share!!! It was never dull, always upbeat and fun.

There are no words. Life is so, so cruel. We are heart broken for you all. Especially sending Jessica and Charlotte lots of strength to continue to make your Mum proud. With love.

I am heartbroken to hear that my dearest friend Kate has passed away. From Aoibhe’s first day at Taney, I met Kate & Charlotte, and we have been blessed to be friends ever since. She was the friendliest, kindest, selfless and full of fun friend. I will miss our chats, her voice notes, and her standing with me on the sideline of the hockey pitch, cheering our girls on. She was such an amazing Mum and so proud of her beautiful girls, they were everything to her. Kate, you will be so missed. May you rest in peace, my beautiful friend.

Kate was one year older than me, and she went to a Co-Ed school - how cool- I was hooked listening to her funny stories and antics. Dear Colin, Jessica, Charlotte and all Kates family. We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of dear Kate. She was one of the first people we met when we moved into Dun Emer and she was so friendly and warm making us feel really welcomed. That warmth and friendliness continued over the years we knew her, she always stopped to have a chat and a catch up whenever I met her, filling me in on how her adored girls were doing and always so interested in my three. She was always patient listening to my youngest, who loves to chat, interested in what she had to say. She made Bria feel so welcome in her home and always greeted her with a lovely smile. I already miss seeing her out for her walks and will miss our chats when we bumped into each other. May her gentle soul rest in peace xx
