I am heart broken for your loss which no words can fully capture . We lost such a warm, compassionate, special, fun and vibrant part of our family with Kathleen’s passing . She was so loved and treasured. I’m so honoured to have known her and to have been part of her life as a sister in law and friend. We have many treasured shared memories. We enjoyed so many Christmases, weekends away, family celebrations , holidays as well as shared some sad times together . We supported one another.

I thought Kathleen and I would grow old ‘ungracefully’ together. I imagined our children, nieces and nephews being embarrassed by our dance moves, excessive laughing and loud out of tune singing over many a Soirée night together. In Kathleen’s honour I will carry on many of the traditions she loved and she can smile down on us all until we meet again….

Our united family will be there for you David and the boys as we try to adjust to life without Kathleen. However, her spirit will live on as we remember her, laugh at funny stories and talk about her frequently . It’s the little things that are important and we shall not forget them.

My deepest condolences to David, Dylan, Jamie and the Murphy and Atkins families on the loss of the wonderful Kathleen, who I came to know through my sister Sinead and family many years ago. She was always so vibrant with a great sense of humour, hearty laugh and a very caring nature. She loved her style, makeup and all the things in life that just add that little extra bit of sparkle! It was clear for all to see that David and Kathleen were made for each other. I have many fond memories of our little chats through the years in the Atkins household in Kildare, which I think was one of her happy places and somewhere she loved to visit. The funeral mass was simply beautiful and reflected her life so well. Rest in peace now dear Kathleen, the memory of you will last forever.

Aunt kathleen, thank you for all the wonderful memories you gave to us over the years. I love telling the story of your wedding in rome and how we all got to travel there for it. I remember all the trips you made to us in new york and all the fun times we had with you in ireland. You will be deeply missed, but I know uncle kevin has missed you for all these years, so now he gets to spend time with you again. Everyone says I look a lot like my dad, but once they see you, they say I look a lot like you. I hope to embody not just your beauty on the outside, but the beautiful person you were on the inside as well. May you rest in peace and thank you for being such a wonderful aunt.

We can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. Kathleen was lovely. Our last memory is dancing on the dancefloor and drinking at Nicky and Cathy's wedding. The kids had a great time.
