It was with great sadness that I heard today about your beloved KAthleen. The Killarney Coleman’s have great memories of our trips to Dundrum in the Septembers that Kerry were in the All Ireland . I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Kathleen. My deepest sympathy to Michael and all of the Behan Family. Kathleen and my late mother, Kay (Gallagher) were great friends - my mother always saying what a great heart Kathleen had and how kind she was. I have so many memories of my mother coming home from work in ‘the butcher’s’ in Dundrum saying Kathleen called in with a cake or a coffee from Bewleys to break the day for her - it happened so often and always cheered my mother. No doubt they are together now and watching over the families they lived for. Thinking of you all and remembering you and Kathleen in my prayers. May Kathleen rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the Behan family at this very sad time. Kathleen was much loved by all the Gallaghers. My main memories of Kathleen are from back in the 80’s when Kathleen would be walking home from Meadow Mount and would occasionally drop in to see Mam in Meadow Grove and I remember she was always full of warmth and chat - Mam always loved to see her. Kathleen would never call to our house without a little gift of some kind she was so thoughtful and even managed to give me a travel alarm clock when I was moving to England 23 years ago which I still have! Her kindness will never be forgotten! May She Rest in Peace. Paul

Deepest condolences to Áine, Jessica and especially Michael on the passing of Kathleen. She was such a generous woman, with the kindest and most gentle soul. Sending you all love and hugs.

Any time I have the opportunity to travel abroad, I book a flight straight to Dublin. I have never had any interest in visiting anywhere else as Dundrum is a special place to me. Filled with family and friends, Granny was without a doubt the cornerstone that made Dundrum special. Her kindness permeated throughout the neighbourhood while her desire to hear all the details about your life story would make anyone feel welcome. I was taught to never wear a hat at the dinner table, to never call my mother or father by their first name, and to always ask if she'd like a cuppa.

It's a sad day indeed but I look back on the memories I have, from visiting Granny's family home in Tipperary to watching Tip beat Kilkenny in the all-Ireland hurling finals in 2016, and find comfort knowing these will last forever.
