I met Kat through her friend Sally Sivas - I ran a homeless Night Shelter in South London. And one evening Sally came with Kat. Well from the moment we met Kat fitted into the team of volunteers straightaway, Many times Kat had us and our guests laughing especially as she used to bring her own kitchen utensils. The amazing thing is Kat felt and was at home with all the Volunteers and our Homeless guests from that first time, She was sold on it and kept coming back to do more sessions without Sally.

I personally will always remember Kat because she was lovely, gentle in spirit, so friendly, caring and very kind person, Kat was truly someone who had a Heart of Gold and will be missed by us all. I and the team know she loved the homeless shelter & volunteering to help change peoples lives for the better and this was her all over.

Kathleen has been part our lives and family for 30 years in the UK. She touched our lives in more ways than we can say. Kathleen was very loving, honest, intelligent and had a wicked sense of humour. She is simply unique - she is irreplaceable - there is no another Kathleen.

You shall always remain in our hearts and memories. We believe you shall always walk alongside us, chatting, laughing and singing along the way, for the rest of our lives. Love you our darling angel for eternity.

Farewell to dear Kat
For those of us who knew Kat it was universally acknowledged that she was great fun, mischievious, brilliant at her job and much loved.

"Kat was my PA for three years and she lit up every room and meeting she attended, with her radiant smile and Irish humour. She planned and pulled off a number of very memorable office parties and was an enthusiastic runner and cyclist who challenged me to the run the 10k from Wembley Stadium to Saracens, plus join the London to Brighton Cycle ride. Our thoughts are with her partner, Chris, and her family." James Saunders.

She was part of the Quintain team from Feb 2000 to July 2015 and will be missed by all who knew her.
