She was in the Infirmary with me when I got my appendix out , I was only seventeen and she was so kind to me. We had great chats when I met her for years afterwards. She was a true lady. David and family, and the Kavanagh family, my deepest sympathy to all of you on the death of Kathleen, my friend and old neighbour from Costelloes Lane, who was one day younger than me, her late mum Janie having helped the midwife birth me at home in Costelloes Lane, and Janie herself giving birth to Kathleen the following day. Great former neighbours and friends. Whenever we met, Kathleen and I spoke about our Mams and about the one day between our birthdays… I will always light a candle for her in Ballybricken Church on her birthday. God rest you now Kathleen and look after your heartbroken family and friends from Heaven. Betty.
