Always enjoyed meeting her. Remember her telling me bits about the fairs long ago and about seeing the famous Margaret Barry arriving at Shercock fair day on her bicycle, taking the banjo off the carrier and settling down to play on the side of the street. There is no one else now to recall those far off days.

Just got to the letters page in todays Sunday Indo and am saddened to see Kathleen has passed away. I had noticed she was very quiet for a while. I was a big fan of hers, her brain and wit was extraordinary. Thank you Joanne for informing us of her demise and the newspapers in heaven won’t know what hit them! Rest in peace Kathleen.

As a reader of the Sunday Indo & the Letters to the Editor’s page especially, I am saddened to hear of death of this wonderful lady 99 years young, I always scanned over the Letters page first checking to see if Kathleen Corrigan, Cootehill had something in print, she had a unique gift in letter writing. My condolences to your family & readers. May you Rest In Peace Kathleen.
