Kathleen had fond memories of her Grandfather (Joe Kennedy) who was one of the very first men to join the Civic Guard (An Garda Síochána) in March 1922. Garda Joe Kennedy (Reg. No. 329) served in Union Quay and Bridewell Stations (Cork).

She reached the fulness of years and has gone to join her dear ones who predeceased her including her dear husband Tony and her brother, Father Seraphin, of happy memory, who was very devoted to the Franciscan Third Order.
