I have many fond memories of Aunt Kathleen, from my childhood visits with my mother, Marie, to Drogheda, her regular visits to Dublin and my visits to London. Kathleen and Marie were very close and went on many pilgrimages with Church groups. Kathleen worked very hard for many years. I will remember Kathleen as kind, strong, and articulate. She always found the right words to connect with people. Her shelves were filled with family photos, and she liked to reminisce about the old days. Our thoughts were always with her from across the Irish Sea and her memory will live on in our hearts and minds. Condolences to Catherine and Peter and Kathleen’s family.
Condolences to the Daly and Cunningham family at this time
Condolences to Peter, Linda and families. I remember fondly growing up and the trips to Drogheda to visit and Kathleen would take good care of me. It was home away from home. Kathleen was a constant companion and best friend of our Mam (Marie). They made for a great pair and when together you would hear all sorts of stories. Kathleen was ever present at family events and a big part of the family. My visits to London were too rare but always enjoyed catching up. Kathleen worked so hard through her life. She will be sadly missed. Michael, Olive & boys.
I’m very sorry to hear of Aunty Kathleen’s passing. I have fond memories of her coming to visit granny in Kilcoole over the years. Kathleen and Granny were a great pair and they always came back from their trips with great stories to tell. Kathleen loved a good chat and it was very easy to be in her company. I remember her kindness when myself and my mam stayed with her in London many years ago as well as her love for the soaps and a good detective series! Sending my condolences to all of Kathleen’s children and grandchildren at this time. May she rest in peace.
Aunt Kathleen - as she was to us - was a huge part of our growing up. Especially in the last twenty years of my life I've learned so much about aunt Kathleen and have such respect for the fighter she has been throughout her life and still, she had such a kind spirit to her.
When my now husband met Aunt Kathleen in the last 10 years she straight away had relatable things to talk about to this Brazilian man who she never met.
Although Aunt Kathleen was a big part in our family, I know she had many "families" that we sometimes got a glimpse into with her stories, which showed us how loved she was. Aunt Kathleen is someone that has added to us all, as a family as a whole, who fought, lived and loved.
Thank you to Peter who took such great care of her with such love.
May Aunt Kathleen rest in peace with Granny and George and all of her loved ones that have passed.
Aunty Kathleen truly was the most warm, kinda and loving aunty, the best anyone could wish for. She was full of stories, she loved to chat and was a great listener too. We were lucky to hear from Kathleen all the lovely stories about my mother Marie, they were the best of sisters and went so many places together, Lourdes, the Holy land. Kathleen will be very sadly missed by all of us. May she rest in peace.
Kathleen was an amazing lady. She was kind, witty, intelligent ,compassionate and had a steadfast faith. She was a wonderful companion to her sister Marie (my Mam) and they shared great holidays together .She loved her books and her detective films on tv, and up til recently had a fantastic memory of all sporting events. She ended her conversations with me on Sundays every week with the same message" Good night and God bless and send my love to everyone " She will be greatly missed.
