The members of the Mayo Beekeepers Association are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic death of Kathleen Devine. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and neighbours. Kathleen was a beautiful person, inside and out, and a role model for us all, as a friend, a beekeeper and member of our club. As a beekeeper she was second to none, producing lovely honey and winning well-deserved prizes at countless honey shows throughout the country. Kathleen loved her bees and beekeeping and it showed. She always had an open ear for the needs of others and often helped and mentored other beekeepers. Her kind-hearted presence will be missed by us all.
