Beloved mother to Ruth & Rachel, mother-in-law to Paul & Hugh, Mamó to James, Eleanor, Killian & Kate, sister to Fran and friend to many, Kathy was a kind-hearted soul whose warmth lit up a room, and she will be sorely missed. We send our deepest sympathies.

Kathy was the backbone of the Irish Reports for many years. We all relied on her. May she rest in peace now.

I have such fond memories of Kathleen, especially of our flat sharing days, and when we worked together. She was kind hearted, gentle and funny. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Kathleen was one of a kind. She was a sister to my mother Catherine McGrane and an aunt to us. Kathleen, Francis and my mam blazed a trail from St. Joseph’s in Dun Laoghaire to the apartment in Marino above Gallaghers all those many years ago and beyond. We have great memories of so many happy times with Kathleen. Weddings, trips away to Wexford (Rosslare and Duncannon), Lake Garda, the K Club and many more. Kathleen always lit up a room with her warmth, kindness and good humour. I always enjoyed our chats and her deep intellect. May you rest in peace Kathleen.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Kathy’s passing. My heart is broken for Rachel and Ruth. I remember with great fondness my time living with Kathy, Eddie and Rachel at no 19 under an umbrella of love and fun. Myself and Rachel would go on become lifelong friends and share many adventures together… with more to come hopefully. Kathy was a lady through and through. Always so glamorous and had the most positive attitude and a great sense of fun. I still find myself often reciting some of her witty sayings and always stopping for a moment to nod to her. I know Eddie will be waiting for her. Kathy, you will definitely be in their number when the saints go marching in xxx
