I have known your mother since you were a 1st year in the Bower Ann and it was always such a pleasure to meet her over the years... ..It was nice to visit her in her home where she always had nice treats.. I was saddened to hear of Kathleen's passing today. My parents met and befriended Kathleen and family when we were tots, on holidays in Enniscrone. We have lovely faded photos at home of the families lining up for photos on the beach. Mum and Kathleen exchanged Christmas cards for decades after that. My Mum Finola was very fond of Kathleen, and when Mum and Dad came to Athlone to stay they called on Kathleen.
Mum and Dad have passed on, but I'm sure they would like their affection for your Mum to be known. May she rest in peace.

I was so sad to hear of the death of Kathleen.. She was a past pupil of my mother’s in Shannon Harbour NS ( Peg Ryan … Drapery Mardyke St.) They maintained a great friendship till my mother’s death in 1984. My memory of her is pure gentleness and kindness. Many wonderful visits to Kathleen’s mother too in Shannon Harbour .. and the cuckoo clock !! RIP Kathleen.
