My sincere condolences to the Kirrane family on Kathleen’s passing, may her gentle soul rest in peace.

I knew Kathleen from almost 20 years ago. I had just returned to Galway from Dublin to work and in my spare time joined the Legion. She and the other ladies of the Claddagh praesidium of that time held their own in the apostolate in that Parish while we were meeting in Fr Griffin Rd. After I went to seminary we lost touch but then I rekindled the acquaintance in my time in Salthill as a deacon. Kathleen was a kind and devout lady, a real servant of Our Lady. She never lost her bit of Northern flint either and she kept going and smiling in many circumstances including after Seán dying. I was so sorry to have missed her funeral. Dear Kathleen, may you rest in peace after your good work, may you see the Lord face to face in the reward of heaven.

Kathleen and I worked together for many years at Tigh Nan Dooley and remained good friends in the years after. She leaves fond memories and a beautiful legacy behind. She will be sadly missed by the many lives she touched including colleagues, friends,service users and parents. Kathleen always wished and prayed for the best for everyone. She was kind, hard working, supportive, gentle,wise, professional and caring.

Kathleen was model of patience and kindness in her work, where we met, and also in her entire life. She and Sean were friendly visitors, and in recent years Kathleen was a keen welcomer of visitors and enjoyed frequent chats with the many many acquaintances and friends she had. She will be very sadly missed by all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

Lord have mercy on the soul of dear Kathleen, condolences to her sister, her niece's and nephew's. Kathleen had great devotion to the Rosary, she organised the all day Rosaries in the Claddagh church on the 7th October for many years, including this year despite her failing health.
