Truly saddened to hear kitty has left us,

I am heartbroken reading this. I was trying to find Mary (Mc Evoy) I think kitty told me but I couldn’t find her. I was in hospital with Kitty and I asked pals in Kinnegad to try to find Mary for me. Lads I was with your mam in the bed opp in James Connolly. I chatted to her all day and looked after her at night in case she tried to get out of bed. I felt like she was my own nana and I am heartbroken now as I logged on google again just now trying to find Mary and found this. I would love to chat to Mary if she sees this. No words can explain the love I have for you. I'm totally numb..but I will forever cherish the love and care you gave me for 28 years! I miss you so much, I just wish I could of been by your side through this all. Ill miss our days and nights watching the soaps, the news, the chase, judge Judy the list is endless but once it made you happy I was happy. The laughs we had I will never forget, you thought me so much in life, you were the person I would come to always.

I have such fond memories of my Auntie Kitty. Whenever we stayed in Leixlip Auntie Kitty would greet us with a bonny smile, a crushing hug and a huge meal. We knew that we could just turn up, knock on her door and be welcomed in our “second home”. Auntie Kitty had a wonderful sense of humour and welcomed so many people into her life; she was so kind, compassionate and loving. She would help anyone in need and enjoyed being active in her community. My heart weeps for everyone who loved Auntie Kitty. Most especially for Pat, Johnny, Mary, their families and my Mum, Ellen. Kitty, was not just my dearest Sister, she was also a Mother to me. Someone to guide me through life and to look up to. She was a wonderful, kind and strong person and I am so proud to have known and loved her. It saddens me that we were not able to see each other often as adults but she was only ever a phone call away. I have seen so many of Kitty’s strengths in her children Pat, Johnny & Mary and in her beloved Grandchildren too. Kitty, you are already truly missed by us all but you will be forever in my prayers, memories and in my heart. RIP my darling Sister xx
