Our deepest sympathy to all of Kitty's relatives and many friends. I stayed in Burds Guesthouse for over two years many, many moons ago when i came to work in Ballymahon still a teenager. They treated me like a family member, i often spent an evening in their "parlour" chatting with their Dad. They were all so gentle and kind. I will always remember Kitty with fondness.

From my childhood, I always admired the inseparable Burd sisters, their easy and quiet manner, their ability to relate to everyone & their sweet & gentle approach.
Though inseparable, there was, as I learned in later years, a distinct difference in their personalities, but knowing one from the other, I never really mastered.
Kitty, you will be sadly missed from the Ballymahon community,among whom, you were born, raised, worked and retired - a celebrated centenarian, whose contribution to the business and social life of Ballymahon will never be forgotten.
