I am so sorry to hear of Kathleen's passing...last time I inquired she was doing so well. I only met Kathleen a handful of times (as a good friend of Martin & Ann) but hers was a truly inspiring story and she always struck me as a sincere and principled lady. It must have been some comfort to her family that she passed away peacefully.

I know that Irish families are very extended but I'm adding my condolences to a supremely long list. Lovely poem by Ben (my Godson) too.

So where to start with you, Kathleen Malone; A lot to many but a uniqueness you did own.

One way, no highway, just Upbeat in tone;

Undoubtedly joyful was all that was known.

As we drove to DunMartin, up from Ardee; it was always you we were really on our way to see.

There you stood, steady and light; behind the welcoming door, you were simply such a beaming sight.

Club Orange and soup, vibrant yet plenty; Leaving our hearts full and our bowls empty.

Your house of Malone had many a guest; quite staggering you know, so maybe it is your time to rest.

We are nothing but blessed for having your loving care;
Something you gift to us, for which we forever share.

Many children here and above, you adopted one way for all;
No question but love.

A Mother, a Sister, a Shopkeeper and an Aidens Caddy;
so many to others but forever our Granny.


We never leave without a kiss parting our ways, so here's one from us to you; Thanks for the memories we will keep for the rest of our days.

I was so sorry to hear of the death of your mother, Anne, Thomas & Majella. She was a lovely lady - so interested in everyone & so full of life. We had great chats when we met - usually in the Church.
