I’m very sorry to hear of Kathleen’s sad passing and extend my sincere condolences to her sons, daughters, grandchildren and all her family and friends. She was a lovely lady that I first got to know in her fabric shop in Newbridge and then in the Royal Curragh Golf. Club. She was a pleasure to play golf with and I enjoyed her company on many occasions. She was a great member of the club. She will be sadly missed. May Kathleen rest in peace.

Very very sorry to hear the sad passing of Kathleen.A lovely woman and a very good neighbour.I have some good memories of her and all the Donnelly family.And her father and mother lovely family.We would all play football and hurling together with the Kellys back some years ago when we were neighbours.They were the good old days.My mother god rest her would always go into the fabric shop on the main street.Kathleen was always very helpful.And I have good memories of her in the shop in Highfield also.She will be sadly missed by us all and all who knew her.Our sincere condolences to all her family and brothers Michael Eamonn sisters Mary and Eileen and all the Murphy and Donnelly families at this sad time.May Kathleen rest in peace with her late husband Tommy and all who is gone before her XX.Verry very sorry I could not make the funeral.

Thomas, Karl, Barry, Brian, Elaine, Mairéad and extended family - it was so moving to see the expression of your love for your amazing mam - Kathleen at her funeral yesterday. You were so proud of her - her strength, her wisdom, her values, her advice, her kindness, her love - but she was extremely blessed with all of you.

Your mams passing has broken your hearts - you will miss seeing her, picking up the phone to talk to her - you wonder how life goes on. You won't really get over the death of your mam, but she'd want you all to move on with your lives and remember her always - every step of the way.

Kathleen was a beautiful person - you were lucky to have her as your mam. She will live on in you all each and every day....

She was a lovely, gifted, really hard working, mother!!!! and she was the same in her fabric shop.
Kathleen helped many mothers…. as she sold great quality material/wool. She also provided much needed advice…. in dress making and knitting.
Her gifted advice ….hugely helped mothers…. to turn their families….for big family occasions…..e.g, for…
First Holy Communions, Confirmations, weddings etc…
Kathleen did so in times when money was really scarce!!!!! for many families, some fourthy/fifty years ago!!!!! in what were…. really hard and poor times for many families!!!!!!!
Kathleen will be a sadly missed too, by her extended families, neighbours and friends…
Kathleen may you rest now with….your loved ones….. gone before you …. in your well earned, well deserved, eternal peace…Amen.

A chance passing on the street 22 years ago and Kathleen introduced herself when she saw our new baby Lucy. She guided us to the Kildare Branch of DSI where we met other new parents and a wonderful support network.
