Remember her from the time I was a small lad growing up in Mary St. where Travers had the butchers shop, in the Shambles & for many years after, when she was a regular visitor to my late aunt, Bridie Nolan. Saturday 24/08/24 at 1740 It was with deep regret that I have learned of the death of
my near neighbour Kathleen Neville, Tanhouse New Ross.

Sincere sympathy to her daughters, Maura & Aileen and her grand daughter Emma & Mauras family where Kathleen resided in recent years. .

Kathleen enjoyed this story, My brother ILBE visited me many years ago, and for some reason he decided to visit her at Tanhouse.
Kathleen was at the other side of a field when she looked up and saw Fr Ailbe at the other side of the field [in his Franciscan robes].
She was aged at that stage and on seeing Fr AILBE she thought to herself > "they are coming to get me"
Later the matter came up several times and she took great enjoyment out of it when it was recalled
Pre covid my Brother Tom and I Were regular visitors to Kathleen
she was a most engaging personality and I have regrets that we did not seek more historic information from her regarding her late husband Johns sporting prowess and her own family [Travers] involvement in the Shambles in New Ross, a historic building where apparently the towns butchers traded from not least her brother,
