My sincere condolences to the Flanagan family who were great neighbours to my Uncle Tom Conway in Tullagower. I have very fond memories of Kathleen visiting and indeed she worked with my aunt Kay Breen in her shop in Kilrush.

Devastated to learn of the loss of my childhood friend .Sincere condolences to the Flanagan and O’Neill families . Our families like many others in knockerra had been friends for generations . I lived in London an only child and was sent to my grandparents for the summer holidays. My earliest memories are of being taken down to Flanagan’s by my grandad to see his friend Mick , or my uncle Tom to his friends, Kathleen’s uncles .I was always welcomed with open arms by Kitty ,Kathleen , Dympna and Brid were my six week sisters , I loved going to the Flanagan’s the hustle and bustle of a loving family home and the freedom of being on the farm .Over the years as we had families of our own we would occasionally meet up in Ennis, I last saw Kathleen in September last year , she was so proud of all her grandchildren , she was full of life , with the sparkle in her eyes . Thankyou for enriching my childhood my old friend may you RIEP
