Losing a mother is the hardest thing in the world. I hope the memories that have been created over her lifetime will comfort your family at this difficult time. I am sometimes in a place or a circumstance where I think "ah me mother would have loved that." It takes a while to get to that stage but when you do, the sorrow vanishes and love and hope prevail.

Over the years when we met out walking we would stop and reminisce about the old times and shared many happy stories with each other. We were so deeply sorry to hear of Mrs Reids passing, she was such a wonderful woman, we knew her first growing up in Ballsgrove, she certainly lived life to the full, she loved her dancing and music,it kept her young, would love having chat with her over the years, she would tell where she was travelling to next, and always would talk about Callan her home place where she loved. May god give her family comfort at this very sad time, she was so proud of all of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. She is reunited now with her parents and husband Michael. Pamela & Christy Cherrymount.

Sarah & Family, I have wonderful memories of Mrs. Reid no matter how many times we knocked on the door she always invited us in was so warm & caring. I know will be so sadly missed on the street RIP lovely lady.

I have many childhood memories of the 60s and 70s in Drogheda, and the family passing through London en route to Spain. Aunt Kathleen always had a smile and a love of life. A great LADY indeed. I remember taking music lessons in the front sitting room of her home in Cherrymount along with Sarah and many others in the early 90's. It was chaos but always great fun! My mom Eileen Egan (Somers) always told me fond stories about her best friend Kathleen Bourke from her childhood. I had the great pleasure to meet her many times when visiting Ireland. Recall her visit to Canada as well. The last time they spoke together was a FaceTime on an iPad so could see her & they chatted fondly. My mom is keeping well in care, sends condolences to the family & all there with kindness & warmest hug, to have Kathleen as a dearest best friend for so many years is a blessing, she will be missed.
