Kathleen Ruth, the end of an era for sure. I remember meeting her many times over the years at Orla and Paddy’s family gatherings. She used to hold court and she was great company. Her turkeys were legendary. Condolences to Paddy, Orla and the girls and all the extended family.

Deepest sympathy to Paddy, Marie and all of the Ruth and Drumgoole families on Kathleen‘s death. She was a wonderful friend to our family for almost 50 years, and loved by my children and grandchildren. We will miss her for her friendship and love, and her turkeys that we had every Christmas and most of all for her Christmas puddings that she made every year for us. She was truly a legend! I have very fond memories of Kathleen growing up when I was in Ballymackney school. She would take me to her home for lunch when her dear friend and neighbour, Eileen Conlon, was away. She was great, chatty and genuine. Not afraid of hard work and plucking turkeys back in the day! May she rest in peace now with Eileen, Fred and other loved ones before her.
