Our sincere condolences to the family of Mrs Ryder. I was glad to have met Mrs Ryder and chatted with her when Elissa took part in her talented Granddaughters Lauras music video. Mrs Ryder told me how she taught my own mother in Ballinrobe, she was a lovely lady and a great teacher I believe. May her gentle soul rest in peace

Mrs Ryder was a wonderful, energetic, motivational teacher. I so looked forward to her French and English classes in the late 70's, learning in her class was a joy, the French so well taught remains clear in my mind to this day. The teaching was also more than the academic , it was about life. So saddened to hear of Mrs Ryder's passing but there is no doubt it was a life well lived, with joy,vigour and kindness. Rest in Peace.

I knew from you that she had been unwell for some time, but there is a finality to death that we are never fully ready for and need time and support always to come to terms with. You were kindly came to my mother's funeral in Limerick 5 years ago. I only learned of your mother's death a short time ago. I will offer Mass on Sunday in thanksgiving for her life and with you and all the family in mind at this challenging time. May you be consoled by your family, the community of Mercy sisters, and your many friends in different places and walks of life. Michael
