Dear Rachel, Emma and Alex, I am so sorry for your loss. I am blessed to have been friends with your mother for over 40 years. As you all know she was so kind, inviting me over to visit twice, giving me the opportunity to travel Europe with her. And giving me the opportunity to meet and know you three. Those are memories I will cherish forever, along with our wonderful friendship we started years ago in the States. You three were your mother’s world, she treasured her time with you.
You and your family, especially grandma Maureen, are in my thoughts and prayers.

The fun and belly laughing we did on many a mystery tour somewhere in the middle of Europe, cocktail in hand. Gossiping about clues about where we might be going, Most of all I’ll miss how supportive of a colleague and friend she was. Our school, and indeed our community, will miss her so very much, I know I will. The children she worked with in Ollies will never forget the amazing care she took of them. My deepest sympathies to Kathy’s family and dear friends, especially Anne and Jean. Rest well Kathy, at peace and always shining down minding us now. We will miss you forever.

I’m so so sad about your lovely Mum, Kathy. We all loved her so much in St. Oliver Plunkett school - she was great fun to work with and loved sharing many of her American traditions in our classrooms - like Groundhog Day in Punxsutawney which completely baffled me! I adored her and was always so impressed by how kind she was to everybody and how hard she worked with the children in our school- always able to giggle with them. She adored all three of you and I know you must be feeling very very sad. Big teacher hug to all three of you. Sympathies to all of Kathy’s family and her very many friends. Kathy is a gem and I feel very blessed and privileged to have known and worked with her.
