Deepest condolences to the Dowling and McElligot families on the passing of your beloved Katie (or as I knew her, Caitriona). I first met her in 2004 in our UCC days and I lived with her for a short period too.
She was beautiful, both inside and out. She was so softly spoken and gentle and I knew that she was made to be a nurse. She could have been anything she desired because she was evidently a scholar at heart and loved learning. She was fun on nights out and always smiling. I will cherish the memories of our college days.
I remember so fondly, sneaky trips to the shop to get her favourite sweet treat- munchies, which she savoured and enjoyed to the last. I think this could be a metaphor of her. She appreciated all the simple things.
So Rest In Peace dearest friend. Until we meet again. Xx
