We are deeply saddened by the passing of your daughter and sister. It was a sheer pleasure and joy to have known and worked with Katrina over all these years. She gave us so many wonderful memories that make us want to laugh and cry at the same time.
Our heartfelt condolences to your family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Katrina when I stepped into her shoes during her maternity leave. Even in the short time we spent together, her smile lit up the room with positivity, patience, and warmth, making me feel like part of the family in the department.
One of my most vivid memories of her is when she surprised me and generously made me a homemade birthday cake, showing her thoughtfulness and kindness.

Katrina was loved so much by the children; I watched as they would swarm around her in the playground, showering her with love, highlighting her incredible bond with each and every one of them. It was obvious that the children adored her.
I will be forever grateful for the short time we spent together.
Rest in peace, my friend.
With love,
We were lucky enough to know Katrina as teacher to our two girls and also outside school. We will always remember her as such a ray of sunshine in all our lives and just the perfect primary school teacher.

Our girls loved lessons with Miss F (as they call her), and she gave them the greatest gift - she taught them to read in English and to love reading. So whenever our girls enjoy a book we will remember Katrina, her enthusiasm and encouragement will stay with them for years to come.

Our love to PA, Oscar and all the family, and our thanks to all who brought Katrina into our lives.

Julia and John Atkinson (Lyon)
Cher Pierre-Alexandre, Cher Oscar,
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Fullerton, family and friends.

Words cannot describe the profound sadness felt upon the loss of dear Katrina.

It was a privilege to have known and worked with Katrina, to witness her zest for life, her limitless joy and immense love and kindness towards others. Her profound humanity and warmth will never be forgotten.

May Katrina rest in peace.

Holding you close in my thoughts.

With sincerest condolences.

Julie
There are no words to express the sadness of this tragic loss. My children have very fond memories of Katrina (especially Elias who was lucky enough to have her as his teacher in CE1). I remember her getting the children singing at the Halloween party, getting the children acting in Jack and the Beanstalk, organising a collection of supplies to take to Nepal one summer, dealing with all of the technical aspects of Google Classroom and Bug Club - she certainly went above and beyond in her role as a teacher and she will be sorely missed. Lila was so looking forward to having her as her teacher one day. I hope Katrina's family finds some comfort in reading about how much she was appreciated, and we send our sincere condolences to them at this difficult time.
It’s been over six years since I’ve been in Miss Fullerton’s class, since I was taught how to use my gmail account and how to make a PowerPoint, created a website page about endangered coral reefs and much more, and yet it makes me smile every time I think back. We’d studied The Breadwinner, and talked about the living conditions of women in Afghanistan in depth despite our young age at the time. One thing, if I had to pick, that I will remember forever, was a simple sentence she told me, but which means the world: that I had a British accent when I read aloud, this accent I was already starting to lose ever so slightly but that I am still fighting to keep. Even now, every time I read out loud in class I think back to those words and it makes me confident all over. Thanks for everything, Miss Fullerton, I will truly miss you forever.
I am still and will never be over the fact that miss Fullerton died, she was a great teacher and was always super positive about the smallest thing. May the angels protect her and her family.
I was really sad to hear of our Ms.Fullerton's death. She was a great teacher and I imagine a great wife and mom. I offer my best wishes to her family and stand by their side through this. I'm really sorry.
I loved Mrs. Fullerton and how she helped everyone during difficult times and how nice she was. As a new student in CE2 (2022-23), she helped me make new friends and integrate well.

So sorry to hear about Katrina - we had such good times living together in Prague and I have very fond memories of her. Thinking of Pierre Alexandre (PA), baby Oscar and Katrina's parents and siblings. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
Dear Miss Fullerton’s family,

When I heard about what happened I was devastated. Miss F taught me to read and to enjoy learning, she was my English teacher in CP and CE1. I miss not being able to see her around school.

Emilie, CM1

I loved Miss Fullerton, she was a beautiful teacher and I miss her lots.

Lucie, CE1
Dear Katrina's Family,

I don’t have words to express my feeling on this unbearable loss. Please accept my deepest condolences.
My warmest thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of immense sadness.
Working alongside Katrina for so many years was an absolute joy. Dedicated, innovative and rigorous, full of sparkle, warmth and gentle humour - no one could ask for more in a colleague or a teacher. She was modest too and wouldn’t believe I could miss her as much as I do.

All my love and thoughts to her beautiful family in Ireland, and of course to Pa and little Oscar here in Lyon.
To Katrina's family in Lyon & Donegal,

Katrina taught both my girls, Annalie & Josie, and I got to know her well through helping out at school. She was always smiling, cheerful and fun, and the children adored her.

I can't imagine the shock and sadness you must feel, but I hope knowing the positive impact she made in her teaching and her joyful presence at school will provide you with some comfort. It will certainly remain with her pupils and the parents who had the privilege of knowing her.

I particularly admired Katrina's approach to celebrating difference and, of course, her St Patrick's Day celebrations always went down a treat.

She was a well-loved person and will be very sadly missed by us all.

I send you my love and sincere condolences.
When I think of Katrina, sometimes we’re cycling along the river after work on a sunny day, or ensconced on a sofa with a large supply of chocolate biscuits. Possibly we’re in the park with a newborn Oscar, sharing our pregnancy journeys and planning the future friendship of our little ones (whilst trying to scare the geese away from our sandwiches). Whether I remember us talking about books, work, or babies, in my memory we are always laughing; usually a rather mischievous cackle.

I will be forever grateful for having been able to call Katrina my friend. As well as this, she was an inspiring colleague who brought joy to the mundane and made my daily life in Lyon that much brighter.

To all of you, her family, I can only imagine the pride and love with which you must be filled when you think of your Katrina.

With warmest wishes to you all,
Beth
Sincere sympathies on the passing of Katrina. May she rest in peace
I have had the privilege to work with Katrina for 7 years. Both being expats, we formed a very close and strong bond. We saw each other every day at work and often during weekends and holidays.

Katrina’s company was easy- we could chat, moan and laugh about anything. She could always see the funny and positive side of any situation. I will miss the times we have been robbed of spending together and the chats that we didn’t get to have. But I deeply cherish all the memories made and the support we gave each other while both living away from our families.

When I think of Katrina, I think of her great sense of humour and some hilarious one liners she came out with!

Our boys, Oscar and Kian, will continue to see each other a lot and I know that will make her smile.

Shine in peace my dearest friend.
All my love,
Eve

Our deepest condolences to Katrina’s family, her husband and baby son. She will be dearly missed. Our children enjoyed very much her teaching during 2 wonderful years. She was one of those person that make a difference, bringing joy and energy in every day class and will be remembered as such.
We have been deeply affected by this terrible news. Our children simply adored their teacher, and we can say without hesitation that it was mainly her enthusiasm, devotion and deep tenderness that made them love this school. Alice was terribly moved by this news... Our sincere condolences.
Terribly sad news! I have fond memories of Katrina as a young bubbly teacher in Lyon. The world was her oyster. Deepest sympathies to all the family.

My sincerest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of immense sadness. Katrina was a kind and joyful colleague who was loved by all in our school.
I am so so sorry for this unbearable loss. Katrina was an inspiring teacher, a valuable colleague and such a joyful presence in our lives. I can only imagine what you must be going through and I hope that you can take some comfort from knowing that so many of us feel lucky to have known her. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
The news of Katrina's passing has left me with a heavy heart, and I struggle to find words adequate to express the depth of my sorrow. Katrina's departure from this world has created a void that seems insurmountable.

We will remember Katrina's zest for life, always open to a new adventure and up for anything.

Katrina also taught both my children the love of learning - they love reading and learning because of the joy she imparted to them. So lucky that both of them had her as their first teacher, the bar she set is high.

Please know that our thoughts are with you, Pierre-Alexandre, young Oscar, and all her extended family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the love and support of those around you, and may Katrina's memory be a blessing that brings you peace in the days ahead.

With Love,
The Rozés (former teacher at CSI, Lyon)

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Katrina's family and friends. Katrina ("Miss Fullerton" for us ) was the fabulous English teacher of our kids (Iban and Eneko) at CSI, Lyon, for a cumulative 3 years. She has touched our lives and many more and we are so sad we won't get to see her again at CSI. At the same time,we are conforted that she is likely happy and at ease now, and continuing to love and support those dear to her heart from Paradise :). We will remember Miss Fullerton's communicative smile and happiness, her love for her students and passion for teaching. Baby Oscar, we think in particular of you in these tragic times and of your Daddy. Know that your mommy was incredibly happy, grateful and proud to be expecting you back in 2023, and happy to share this wonderful pregnancy experience with her little students. During her pregnancy she regularly allowed our kids, her students to touch her belly which touched us. Her kind heart didn't want to disappoint the primary students! They were very proud to tell us about these priviledged times at homes, and we were all very happy to meet you Baby Oscar at school when you both came to CSI for a visit and attended the 2023 school year end party at CSI.
We hope that the love of family and friends brings you peace during these difficult times.
The Randlett Family, Lyon

Dear Katrina’s family,

I am so sorry for what you are going through. Those of us in the wider circle of people who love Katrina are willing you on.

Her loyalty and steadiness, her interest in reading and talking about books, her impeccable French (or so it seemed to me), her dry humour, her unwillingness to make a fuss, her absolute gift with young children including mine, and her eagerness to get out there and see the world - these are some of the things I think of when I think about Katrina, and when I do I feel sad but also very grateful to have known her and had her as a friend.

With love,

Fran in Lyon
