Our sincerest condolences to the Randles family on the passing of the wonderful Kay Randles. I had the pleasure of working for Kay Randles for many years in The Randles Court Hotel and I have to say she was a lady true and true. She was an intelligent, innovative, elegant, gracious and hardworking lady who is an inspiration with what she achieved in her lifetime. She was also very witty and I have to say she was well able to have the craic and enjoy herself too. I have many fond memories of this very special lady. Thinking of her family at this sad time. Apologies I was unable to attend the funeral as I was abroad at the time. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

We are very sad to learn of the passing of Mrs. Randles. As a very young couple in our twenties, we got married in Muckross Church in August, 1975 and had our wedding reception in the Dromhall Hotel. We were really well looked after and Mrs Randles was on hand throughout the day to make sure everything went smoothly, she could not have been nicer to us and we still have the lovely bread knife which she gave us as a momento of the occasion with Dromhall Hotel engraved on the handle. Sympathy to all her loved ones, may her gentle soul rest in peace.

A legendary woman who played a very large part in my life when I first moved to Killarney. Mrs Randles gave me my first (and third job) and through my younger years being away from home was never an issue as I always knew that she was a lady that I could depend on if I ever needed her help. I guess calling her “Mammy Randles”, for me, kind of had a genuine meaning and I would go on to give her the same trust, honesty and respect as I would my own mother.
In later years I always felt rewarded at any chance that I got to meet Mrs Randles as she always gave me a smile and even a bit of banter. I have the fondest of memories of her and she will always be in my heart and my prayers.
