A fantastic manager and cricket supporter. Fondly rememebered for the professional organisation and coaching of the Leinster u19s, in particular for co-ordinating trips to the Oxford festival during the late 1980s where the visiting Leinster squads performed so well and made Keith so proud to be part of. Amazing experience and memories for all involved.

My deepest condolences to all Keith's family. A true "club man" in every sense of the word, giving a lifetime of dedication to Clontarf Cricket Club. He was always very proud to welcome everyone to Castle Avenue, whether they were new members, opposition players and supporters coming for games at all levels or when he was acting as Match Manager for Ireland international games. RIP.
Keith always greeted the committee and players of Strand United AFC when we visited the Clontarf Cricket Pavilion. His smiling welcome was always warm and genuine - we will miss him.
It was an honour to serve as President of Clontarf CC (women’s section) with Keith in 2005.

Keith is a huge loss. He was the heartbeat of the cricket club in many ways, and always had a kind word for me personally. Deepest condolences to his family. RIP.
My sincere sympathies to all of the Lewis family on Keith's passing.

I knew Keith through the hockey club and his contributions to hockey in Clontarf are genuinely immeasurable - He was a constant fixture in the club from its formation right through to recent times and was undisputedly the club's biggest supporter. He could not help enough and if he was not umpiring, coaching or managing a team, Keith would always be on the side-line in Mount Temple supporting whatever team was playing on that particular Saturday.

He was always there to offer his congratulations or condolences post game and his good humour and wit will be hugely missed.

Keith's passing creates a void that the club won't ever be able to fill but his legacy is unmatched and everyone involved in Clontarf hockey owes him a debt of gratitude as the club simply wouldn't be what it is today without his efforts.

Rest in Peace KWL.
So very sorry to learn the news of Keith’s passing… have very fond memories of my Father (Cecil Henderson, Keith’s Brother-inLaw) speaking of him, and his many trips “down under” to watch the cricket.
We are so very grateful to have met Keith on Christmas Day, where he seemed in great health and spirit, with a very witty sense of humour.

Keith, you were a larger than life character in my formative years in Boys’ Brigade. A brilliant, if somewhat rather challenging, officer! But nevertheless witty and inspiring. Never got to know you any better, which is my loss. My condolences to your brother Eric and family. Kind regards, Stephen.

Sincere sympathies to the Lewis family on the passing of Keith. I had the pleasure of working with Keith in Boehringer Ingelheim, he was a true gentleman. It was always lovely to bump into him back in Clontarf, he always had time for a good chat. Rest in Peace Keith.
Condolences to all KW's family and friends. That's how I remember him from 'doing the scoring' but funny enough I never knew what the W stood for!

Thoughts of Keith transport me straight back to the early 80's where he used to cajole and support the under age players into the senior teams. Always jovial and cracking wise, he was, as many have mentioned, a permanent feature in Castle Ave and the essence of all that was great about CCC.

My abiding memory of Keith was him turning up in the club during work hours before jumping into his cortina and heading off again - he was the only many I ever knew who got into his car head first!!

RIP

Keith Winston Lewis was a giant in every sense of the word of our club. Keith fulfilled various roles for Clontarf Cricket Club a brilliantly efficient honourary secretary, first team manager, Club President, team captain and Clontarfs undisputed number one supporter. Keith was red and blue through and through. A vocal presence at any match always right behind the Clontarf team at any level. Keith loved Castle avenue with all his heart and could be found on match days hoisting the club flag before games.

Keith also was a massive supporter of young players and people and coaching. He played a vital role in supporting the coaches in the 80s and 90s. Keith encouraged young people he had a major influence on a young Karl McDermott encouraging him along his career path. Those who played with Keith will know how competitive he was, he liked to win.

It is almost impossible to quantify Keith's service to Clontarf Cricket Club. It was always club first self second with Keith. When you go into leadership roles you always feel a huge responsibility to build on past achievements, those who have gone before. It is people like Keith Lewis who set the standard for us all to follow. Clontarf Cricket Club will do its best to live up to what you would expect Keith. We know you will be cheering us on.

Go well for you gave much to Clontarf Cricket Club and its members.

Derek McGeehan
Chairman
Clontarf Cricket Club
My thoughts are with Eric, Joan, Kingsley, Jenny and Jacqui at this difficult time. Keith was a great friend to me, whose support and guidance will never be forgotten. I will always remember our lunches together, and the odd pint of Smithwicks. It’s a shame I never got him over to Lord’s since I’ve been here, but I know he’ll be looking down on me and no doubt he’ll be wagging his finger!
It was with deep sadness that I learned of Keith’s passing. We worked together in the pharmaceutical industry for many years. At Christmas time Keith would take my children and the children of several colleagues to McDonalds on Grafton Street. It was a rare treat back in the 1980’s. Those now adults still remember him with great fondness. He was always a gentleman. Rest in Peace.

Keith was my comrade in the boys brigade, my sometimes sparing partner on the tennis and squash court , a serious opponent on the golf course and always a great drinking companion afterwards , but above all I’m proud to say he was my friend. The world will seem lessened by his passing.
