It has been a great pleasure to have met Ken as a work colleague and then having a great friendship. He was always had a terrific attitude and was a great sounding board. Ken is a very special guy and one of a kind. John and I have so many special and funny and warm memories of working with Ken in Aer Lingus Commuter. We have laughed so much over the years when we recounted his pranks and jokes in the office and his giggle when he knew he had nobbled us yet again. He made the office a place of fun and humour and that was such a wonderful and special experience. Ken is a legend and a true and authentic person. We have the honour of knowing him. His mass was a wonderful celebration of his remarkable life and exceptional and warm personality. Our hearts go out to you all; Sue, Andrew, Conor, Amy and all your families. He is in our hearts forever. Love John and Fiona Lahart. x (ex Aer Lingus)

Dear Susan, Andrew, Amy and Conor. I am so sorry to hear the news of Ken's death. When I used to work with Sue many years ago in The Company Shop , Ken would call religiously every afternoon. He was always full of mischief and shenanigans and great for the banter and fun. It was clear that adored his family and Sue . Every year on Valentines day, without exception, the flowers would arrive for Sue from Ken and we were so impressed that he never forgot. We used to say that Sue had really hit the jackpot with Ken. You have so many millions of wonderful memories that he will never leave you. May his shining, sparkling light guide you all, always and may he continue to sprinkle magic and memories on you from up above. Majella.x

So sorry Conor on the loss of your dear Dad . Great memories and photos over the years as we cheered you all on .Rip Ken
How lucky I was to have had you as my uncle. My childhood was filled with memories of the fun uncle whose arrival from Ireland meant weeks of playing airplane, chasing us in the garden and filling our home with laughter and cadburys sweets. When we would visit Dublin you would put us on the back of a motorbike and spin us around the alleys and fields at Grandma and Grandpa's. I was never frightened because I knew you would keep me safe on our grand adventures. As I grew older, you took me to my first pub to ensure that I understand how to properly order a round and develop a taste for Guinness like a true Irish girl. Your smile, wit and steady strength won you a place in everyone’s hearts but only a few of us were lucky enough to get to claim you as our Uncle Ken. We will carry that with us for the rest of our lives. While you will be missed dearly and forever, today I will focus on how lucky we were to have had you for the brief time we did.
Deepest sympathy to Sue, Andrew, Amy, Conor and Ken's extended family. There are no words to express the disbelief at hearing the very sad news. Ken had an infectious laugh, a smile to light up the room and so proud of his family. He would keep us on our toes with the pranks he played on us in the office back in the day. He gave freely of his knowledge and was a great sounding board when advice was needed. He was without doubt a friend for life and will be sorely missed. Rest in peace my friend.
