Deepest sympathy to Jim, Patricia, the Burke family and their extended families on Kevin’s passing. I never met Kevin in person but I had a long discussion with him by phone when I was researching the life story of the famous Cavan footballer John Joe O’Reilly. Kevin was a fountain of knowledge, blessed with fantastic powers of recollection and he shared many stories and anecdotes with me about John Joe which enhanced my research. My conversation with him enlightened my knowledge of John Joe’s years in Kildare and for that I was very grateful. I am thinking of you all at this sad time. May Kevin rest in eternal peace.

My deepest sympathies to Kevins family. Kevin was a thorough gentleman. Highly respected by all who knew him. Pat Darcy, former Chairman of Guinness GAA and St. James Gaels.
My sincerest sympathy to Kevin's family on his recent passing. A true stalwart of St. James Gaels GAA Club where he was Honorary President of the club from the amalgamation between An Caislean & Guinness GAA clubs. Kevin was a wonderful ambassador for the club during the early years, meeting & welcoming visiting teams as the then Club Chairman. In later years Kevin continued to support the teams, attending matches & volunteering umpire duties. Socially great company recalling events of Kildare football, enjoying a pint & a verse or 2 of the Old Bog Road. RIP.
