We are very sad to hear the news that Kevin has died. Our father Ray had also been in the care of St.Laurence’s Ward for a lengthy period during 2013. Kevin and were 'neighbors' there for a number of months and we got to know Kevin a little during that time. We would talk of his work life in the auctioneers, his love for Skerries and his dedication to the swimming club. He was a lovely man. We extend our sincere condolences to his relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Kevin was a vital part of the Skerries Community especially if you swam growing up from Gormanstown to the Captains-we'll miss you.
He'll be sadly missed by all in the Skerries Swimming Community and indeed for every contribution he made within Skerries and the North County.
He'll be fondly remembered by all. Rest in Peace Kevin

Fond memories of Kevin, he was a true gentleman and spiritual person.
Taught so many young people over the years swimming in Gormanston College and very generous of his time.
Gave so much of his interest in athletics and GAA to Skerries.
Will be sadly missed, RIP Kevin

Very fond memories of Kevin in the late 1950's and the old Tennis Club in Beaupiers lane. He will be sadly missed by all - May he rest in peace
Very sad news. This is the end of an era. Kevin is and will always be so much a part of the fabric of Skerries and of many generations of children -- and parents. He was fun, encouraging, with no fear and willing to put Skerries on the map with all the various sports and events he was involved with. He helped make this a good place to belong to. We will miss him. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
He selflessly committed himself to the people of Skerries teaching children from generation to generation - Rest in Peace Kevin
Kevin put his heart and soul into everything he did. He was ever-present as the starter at every swimming race for the last five or six decades. Rest in peace, Kevin.
Skerries has lost a true gentleman, RIP Mr Carmichael.
