So sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. Such wonderful company and such engaging conversation. May he rest in peace.
Please accept my sincere condolence Teresa, Liam, Maurice extended Cashman, Fitzgibbon families and friends. I share in your sadness with the loss of Kevin who was an excellent GAA Hurling journalistic contributor to our country.
Spending a creditable amount of precious time with Kevin at his abode just off Military Hill Cork not so long ago, I interviewed him by delving into the huge arsenal of valuable GAA history which he had accumulated over the years especially on Clare GAA.
Kevin, was loyal and professionally as he assisted me with many various Clare GAA
questions on past county teams and players back in the day where time was never an issue. I will never forget the very special journalistic writings in the Independent / Tribune with his take on match day championship hurling games during his career where debates were always distinguished with a great lively follow up.
Kevin, brought a very new dimension to sports writing back during that time which was truly distinguished and very skilful while possessing a very deep and fulfilling
understanding on his addiction to hurling especially in his native Cork County.
Rest in peace Kevin your work is done…..
