Went in to buy tyres today and was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Kevin's death. It was always a pleasure to call in especially because Kevin always had time for a chat(inevitably about politics in my case). I only met him for tyres or punctures but will genuinely miss him. I had the great fortune of being Kevin’s neighbour in Henry St for many years. I could hear his lovely laugh from my studio and had a Birds eye view of his day to day kindnesses. He eased the passage of so many during their dealings at The Mercy - he was entirely unflappable and made time for everyone. A wonderful neighbour and a great friend - I’ll miss him.
