Deepest condolences to Rachel and family at this very sad time.
Sincerely sending prayers and condolences to Rachel and extended family on the sad death of your father.Thinking of you at this sad time. From Jean O Shea
My deepest condolences to Alan, Rachel and Janice and all of Kevin's family and friends. I was privileged to know Kevin from the Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association (RDFA), of which he was an early member. He was both a gentleman and a gentle man, always a kind and cheerful presence at the association's talks, dinners and trips abroad. In 1918, Field Marshal Douglas Haig made critical remarks about the soldiers of the 16th (Irish) Division. I can still see Kevin standing in a field on the Western Front. His voice shaking with emotion he said he was there to dispute what Haig had said. "Field Marshal Haig, my father was a brave man. They were all brave men." At subsequent RDFA events I would regularly tell Kevin that Haig had been asking for him. Sometimes Kevin would give his opinion on Haig. Other times he would chuckle. As with his family, Kevin will be greatly missed by his many friends in the RDFA. Spectamur Agendo.
