My heartfelt condolences to Carmel and the extended Devitte family. Kevin was a truly kind and respectful man, and it was a privilege to have had the opportunity to meet him for my article in The Mayo News in 2019. He will be deeply missed.

My family & I are deeply heartbroken to hear about the news of dear Kevin. I will never forget how Carmel and Kevin lifted my mother’s spirits and gave hope for my father (also waiting for heart transplant) in the Mater Dublin. Kevin’s determination and strength gave my mother such positivity in that hard time. Everybody deserves a second chance in life, and Kevin will leave hope in this world for everyone waiting for a transplant. Carmel, your memories with Kevin will always be kept alive in your heart. I really don't what to say to you in your grief, except that you were one of the happiest couples that I've ever met and it was all down to Kevin's curiosity!
He utterly adored you. Such serendipity.

He loved life and embraced it. Many a haircut lasted a hour whilst he stopped and said "Hey Damien, did I tell you about..." The stories about Vegas and yet, an adopted son of Mayo.
I cherish having met him. Heaven will be his bed.

We are so very sorry to hear of the death of Kevin. Condolences to Carmel and all members of the Devitte and Carrol families. He fought a brave battle and can now reap his heavenly reward. Rest in Peace Kevin.

Kevin has been a dear friend to us since we first set foot on this island. From the moment we met, you showed us kindness, and we will always be grateful for that. Over time, our friendship only grew stronger.
