I was so sorry to hear of Kevin's death. He was a much-liked and much-valued colleague of mine in Terenure College for many years. Josephine and I would like to express our condolences to Mary and to all Kevin's family.

Very sorry to hear of the death of Kevin “Dots”. An old & irreplaceable school friend of the 1950’s his passing vividly recalls happy carefree days at school in the “Nure”.

I was very sorry to learn of the death of my old school friend Kevin.
I offer my sincerest sympathies to Mary and his family on their great loss. My sympathies too to his brother Pat. There were 4 of us who were friends in Terenure College now sadly there now only 3.

I’m so sad to hear of Kevin’s passing. He was such a wonderful mentor to me when I was starting out in my teaching career and later when working in UCD. He was a thoroughly wonderful teacher and a true gentleman. May he rest in peace.

An absolutely wonderful and inspirational teacher. “The world’s greatest nation has a peanut farmer and a second rate actor running for its presidency”. Kevin got us all thinking outside the box, I loved his economics class. A wonderful man with a great legacy.

I was very, very fond of my uncle Kevin ‘Dots’ Doherty. He was a legend. Great squash player, very clever, a great teacher and a very charismatic person. He was fun. Growing up, I felt a close affinity with him. He taught me a lot and I loved family gatherings when he was present.

I will really miss you, oh uncle mine.
