Kevin Haydon’s mother, father and brother would like to thank everyone who left messages of condolence on the RIP.ie Condolence page following his death on 20th June 2024.
These sentiments have been a source of great comfort to us at a very difficult time … and it has been most heartening to learn that Kevin had touched so many lives for the good.
W have also been most grateful to the Human Resources Department of E.Y. for their prompt and practical assistance to us in the immediate aftermath of Kevin’s sudden death… and we were greatly moved by the attendance at his Funeral Mass of so many of his friends and colleagues from that company.
Mention must also be made of the Funeral Firm of Nichols who eased a difficult time with both compassion and professionalism.
Many thanks to Canon Andrew McCroskery who along with the Organist, Choir, Altar Servers and people of S. Bartholomew's offered a most beautiful and inspirational act of Worship for Kevin… which family members attending from Co Clare, Co Galway, Italy, Belgium and England greatly appreciated.
His ashes will be interred in the Garden of Remembrance in the Churchyard of S. Bartholomew's, Clyde Road, Dublin following the Sung Eucharist on Sunday 8th September 2024. R.I.P.

Kevin, I just learned you’re no longer with us.

I remember our sneaky trips to the corner shop for sweets, joint birthday celebrations, holiday in Lisbon, and of course the wonderful Christmas you and your parents so kindly invited me to spend with.

I’m heartbroken. I’m devastated. I can’t believe I can never see you again. I can’t believe we can’t exchange happy birthday messages in March.

You were one of my best friends in London. You were such a fun, kind, loyal friend.

I miss you Kevin. I love you so much. I will remember you forever.

My condolences to Mr and Mrs Haydon. Thank you very much for having me that Christmas holiday and thank you for bringing your amazing son to this world. I was blessed to have met and known Kevin.

Kevin was my EY buddy when I started at the firm in 2014. He made me feel comfortable straight away and ensured I was always included in social events. He had a very kind heart and we were in touch up to a year ago, talking about our shared interest in gaming and always checking in on each other. I will remember him for his sense of humor and his caring nature. Thoughts to his family, sorry for your massive loss.

So so sad to hear this news. Kevin worked with me at EY in London. A great guy, we got on really well and I considered him not only a colleague but also a friend. I am shocked to hear this but do hope Kevin's family are ok.

Very sorry to learn of Kevin's passing. Holding him, his parents Father Keith and Kathy and his brother Andrew in my prayers. Kevin will be especially remembered at mass today in our Chapel of the Resurrection, Mirfield.

Neil and I were deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing of Kevin. Kevin was a gentleman and a gentle man. There are not enough superlatives in, either, the English, or, Irish languages to describe this wonderful Christian man.

We got to know Kevin through St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, Peverell, Plymouth, where we are very blessed to have his Father as our Minister. It was always a great time of joy, friendship and fellowship when we were in Kevin’s company and Neil considered it a great honour and privilege to serve, with Kevin, at the altar.

We will so miss having Kevin in our lives. As we reluctantly give him back to God, we can take comfort from knowing that he is safe in his Lord’s everlasting arms and will have heard the words of Jesus,
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Mathew 25:23)

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kevin’s dear parents, Revd., and Mrs. Keith Haydon, his beloved brother, Andrew and family and all the wider circle of family and friends. Please be assured of our continued love and prayers for the days and months to come.

Sincere condolences to Fr. Keith and all the family at this very sad time. Kevin and I were part of the server team at St. Bartholomew's. He was a quiet get on with it fellow and took a little time to get to know. But when you did get to know him he was great company and had a rye sense of humor. He got on well with our family especially our son Andy, they were often found laughing together and planning technology for St.Gabriels church in Plymouth. Where he often served when he was over from Ireland.

I’m so sorry to read this news. I first met Kevin when he moved to EY in Dublin. He told me all about his family, Dad Keith, Mum Kathy, only brother Andrew and his nieces, he spoke so fondly of his family and the visits he had going back home to see you all. He was funny, witty, cheeky and had a mischievous glint in his eye. He laughed, he moaned, he told jokes, swapped stories. He was a friend and a really great colleague in EY in the ASA team (Kevin, Eimear, Orla, Irene, myself). He will be greatly missed by all in EY. Rest in peace Kevin, a life well lived, just wish it had been longer my friend.
