My father Eugene Madden built an extension for us in 1996 and Kevin, his good friend did the roofing. I can still remember Kevin walking on the roof as if it were the ground without a care in the world. He had to have tea in a china cup-not a mug. He was a lovely, friendly man whom I remember fondly. My late father, Michael, spoke very highly of Kevin and any work Kevin did for him never gave any fault.
I was lucky to have had the opportunity to meet Kevin when he was in Carrick many years ago. A great man has passed. RIP.
