Thinking of Margaret, Ruairi, Megan and all Kevin's family in Sligo on the huge loss of dear Kevin.
I was deeply saddened to have just heard yesterday (31st July) that my dear friend had passed away in early June. A true gentle man, always kind, generous and thoughtful, you'll be so missed Kevin.

I was so sorry to hear of Kevin's passing.

We worked together in The Sunday Tribune in the 1990s. Kevin was great company and an utter gentleman. After he left - I think to go to the Sunday Business Post - he'd usually stop his bike when we bumped into each other in town for a quick catch up. Kevin was one of those people you seemed to run into all the time back then, and if he didn't have time to stop, he'd fly past you with a big hello and a cheery wave. A thoroughly lovely fella.

We knew Kevin since 1983, from college in NIHE Limerick also from London where we shared a flat with him for a while. A great personality and a joy to be around, from endless sessions in the canteen at college to endless sausages in flats in London and pints, stories and craic in many haunts in between and since. Always the best of company. Rest in Peace Kevin.

My dear uncle Kevin, so thankful for all of our memories; out fishing (he wrote me a congrats letter after I caught my first fish), rounding up the donkeys, playing cards and the chats across Tommy Mac’s counter. A great godfather and an even better person. Sorry I couldn’t be there over the last few days. From all I hear sounds like you got a great send off. We will all miss you so dearly. I am deeply saddened by Kevin's passing. Keven was a true gentleman and legend. He added so much to so many lives with his positivity, talent, story telling and friendship. I feel blessed to have so many cherished memories of Kevin on and off the rugby pitch. "Stand by your man".

Comhbhrón le clann agus cairde Kevin. We have so many fond memories of our special neighbour: from shared glasses of wine on the steps on summer evenings to ringing in the New Year while the kids ran up and down the street like mad things; from the many songs, poems and stories he delivered with such enthusiasm, to his alarming Beaker ensembles at Halloween. He sent us videos of foxes sleeping up trees out the back; a windmill in Elphin; a striking, dark and sweaty rugby scrum; his beloved old black bicycle parked at the door. He had a lovely connection with Luca, who helped him to stack logs and sweep leaves. Luca was delighted when Kevin brought him to the Lansdowne party at Christmas and secured him his first rugby ball. There is so much by which to remember this heartfelt, gregarious, gentle giant of a man.

Kevin's smile says it all. One of life's pure gentlemen. Had the good fortune to spend 3 or four glorious year's as young men together chasing each other round the back pitch in Lansdowne. Our only care was to ensure we left plenty of time for a Pint or two post training of a Thursday night.

In Kevin's company you could only laugh, smile and enjoy his story telling. He had to most beautiful ability to add, in the humblest of ways, light to a room and all those in it. Heartfelt thanks to you Kevin for all the great fun & laughter you brought to us all.

I am saddened to hear of Kevin's untimely death. First met Kevin when I joined the teaching staff in Summerhill College in 1982 and Kevin was a Leaving Cert student. He made a lasting impression with his physique and warm personality. A man of many talents full of charisma, positivity and energy.
