Dave and Ann, I was very sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. I worked in CERT and knew Kevin for many years. He was a true professional with high standards within the Training Centre. Thinking of you all at this sad time, rest in peace Kevin with your beloved May.

Always immaculately dressed, Kevin was an old-school professional to his fingertips, who inserted himself enthusiastically into his CERT role as a teacher and mentor to countless numbers seeking a career in tourism and hospitality.

Kevin set high standards in the training centre over which he presided, motivating both his training colleagues and course attendees, but not at the cost of his sense of humour.

In his dealings with influential external parties, Kevin was an excellent ambassador for CERT, professional and at ease in that role, with an ability to lighten an atmosphere, when required.

Very sorry to hear of your dads passing David,have great memories of both you mother and father growing up as a child,they were just lovely people.

Very sorry to hear of “uncle Kevin’s” passing.
Not sure if you know, but your father kindly helped me when I was just 15 yrs old to gain entry to Cathal Brugha Street, and where I went on to have a good career as a chef.
Your mum & dad were close friends of my mother & father, Marie & Jimmy Martin from East wall, where we lived in front of the Tracey’s.
Your father is so widely respected within the hospitality industry and I am forever grateful for his help in those early days.
May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Kevin was such a gentleman, confidant, friend and devoted to his family. I feel so privileged to have known him for 8 years (even though it felt like a lifetime) but he will always be remembered and never forgotten.

My love to all the family in Ireland from my family here in Nova Scotia Canada. I did not have an opportunity to meet Kevin when I returned to Ireland 9 years ago. He was with May and protected her from anything upsetting, such as introducinga stranger to her.. He must have loved her dearly. I have very fond memories of his letters to my mother Bridget.
