Kevin O'Sullivan

I have just heard the news about Kevin's untimely death. I worked with Kevin many years ago in the IPS & he was a true gentlemen who wore a common sense hat. I am sorry to hear this sad news.

Deepest sympathy to the O'Sullivan family, especially Denis, on Kevin's loss. Kevin was a fine example of a dedicated and able public servant. He will be greatly missed.

So sad to hear this awful news. Many of us worked with Kevin in D/ Ag in Cavan in early ‘90’s. His stories from Italia ‘90 were hilarious. Such a sad loss to his family. Sincere condolences.

Dear Emily & family. You gave Kevin such a wonderful send-off in Mount Jerome on Monday last. It was a privilege to be there. Your loss is so huge but you bore it there with wonderful grace & yes, humour. I served with Kevin in both IPS & DoJ. He stood out for me in his rare combination of extremely high intelligence , affability & common sense. Kevin was also a man of shining integrity, decency & compassion. You can take comfort that Ireland is a better place thanks to Kevin’s contribution to public service.

Kevin was a wonderful, insightful, empathetic man. I had the daunting task of filling his shoes when he retired from the Department of Justice. He held an almost legendary status in the Department’s immigration area. My deepest sympathy to his loving wife Emily and extended family. Michael.
