He was a pleasure to meet and we always enjoyed our chats with him. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of us. Thinking of you all during this very sad time. Rest in peace Kevin.

The Blackwater Inn was a great social spot and also a wonderful place to work at weekends. Kevin always had time for a chat afterwards, most probably why he was a great business man. Kevin has a large place in my happy memories, someone who will not easily be forgotten.

Our sincere sympathy to each of Kevin’s family. Kevin gave me my first job and I continued to work for Kevin for some years. I found him to be a very fair boss and we became great friends which continued to our present day. He was great to call to, he had such a wonderful memory and he loved to hear the latest news in Youghal. Youghal Radio was his friend because Kevin had a great love for Youghal and the radio kept him up to date. We will miss you Kevin, may you rest in peace.

Worked in the Blackwater for I think 8 years and I was always very fond of Kevin and the Power family and all the great characters that frequented the bar and lounge.Kevin was a very fair boss and ran a landmark pub in Youghal.
