My sincere condolences on the passing of Kevin. Kevin was a wonderful person - full of goodness and respect for others. Always great company, I loved meeting him. On my wedding day, Kevin drove us in his Ford Mustang and ensured everything was perfect. A man of great kindness and deep integrity. Pure class. Rest in peace Kevin.
On behalf of Galway City Vintners, we would like to extend our gratefulness on having known Kevin. He has helped so many festivals and publicans to get off the ground in and around Galway City and County. His warmth, appreciation and understanding was second to no one else. He was and is greatly appreciated and Galway is better because of him. He could hold his own in any company and could dance, sing and show up in a great car with the utmost gentlemanliness. We’ll miss him. We love him. He left his mark, thankfully. Big love. Your dad, your husband, was one of a kind. We will miss him dearly.
Mary,Kathleen and the extended Whelehan family,we are so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother Kevin. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.May he rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy to Rosie and all the girls on the very sad passing of Kevin. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. Rest in peace Kevin
To Rosie, Lara, Evie, Jody May and Molly, also to Kevin’s brother Sean and sisters Ann, Mary, Kathleen and Michaelena. When I heard of Kevin’s passing last Tuesday I was stunned and saddened, even though we knew he was very ill, it was still hard to believe this legend was gone. To say the man put up a fight against his illness is an understatement, over the years during the treatments his bravery became stuff of legend, most other people would have given up but not Kevin. I knew Kevin for 15 years and he was my boss for 14 of them, he was a gentleman of the highest standing, he always stood up for his principles and what he believed was right. Always so proud of his family and I cannot count all the times he asked me into his office to tell me about their lives and achievements over the years. He was also very proud of his Guinness family and I feel honoured to be one of that family and feel privileged to have worked alongside him. Kevin was one in a million, Kevin was my great friend and I will miss him so much. His memory will live on though and I doubt any get together will ever pass without a very funny story being told with Kevin at the centre with his shenanigans being revisited. Rest in peace Kevin.

Extremely sorry for this deep loss to Lara, the family and all impacted. May he rest in eternal peace.
Dear Rosie, Lara, Evie, Jodie May & Molly, and to Kevin’s extended family and friends,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the enormous loss of such a legend.
Kevin welcomed me with open arms when I joined the Galway team in 2010. One of the very first things he did was show me a photo of his beautiful family — he was so immensely proud of you all. In that moment, I knew I was in the company of someone special.
Kevin oozed integrity and lived by his values. His humour was simply unmatched — to this day, I’ve yet to meet anyone who could pull off a prank quite like he could!
The passion and energy he brought to his role as a manager was second to none. His legacy in Galway and the surrounding areas will live on. We'll always cherish the memories — from the Ballybrit to Shop Street, SJG to Lagos — and all the chats, laughter, and wisdom along the way. Kevin always added value, and never without a dose of good humour.
Thank you, Kevin, for the wonderful years.
May he rest in peace.

Condolences to Rosie , the girls and the extended family on the very sad passing of Kevin.
Kevin was truly one of the nicest, kindest, and most loyal people you could ever meet. He always had a smile, a listening ear, and a genuine care for others.
I had the privilege of working closely with Kevin in GBFM during his time with Guinness. He was a wonderful ambassador for the brand, passionate about his work, and loved what he did.
Kevin had great friends in Oranmore, like Gerry Rabbitt and many others, and we shared some truly special nights together.
I am sorry we cannot be with you at this time.
Stay strong Rosie and girls — Kevin loved you all so deeply.

Dear Rosie
We are so saddened to hear of Kevin’s passing and send our deepest condolences and love to you and the girls and the wider family.
We have such wonderful memories of our time in London in those distant nineties-
Nights out, Rugby games at London Irish, drinks at Jono’s, black tie dinner parties in Ham and the friendship. Kevin was always at the centre of things - sometimes mischievous - always making sure everyone was having fun and not taking themselves too seriously.
Kevin was such a great character and gave so much to us through his friendship and kindness.
He was so proud of you Rosie and of your wonderful family together.
He is at peace now after a tough battle and a life well lived.
Thank you Kevin.
Cormac & Pat Hughes

We are all proud to have known Kevin for so many years through Guinness and growing up with the Galway gals on family hols in Lagos. When Kevin was around there was a crackle of mischief in the air. Although a “blow in” he was a proud Galway man. He brought so much to Galway through his work and recently his volunteering. Kevin’s masterpiece with Rosie is their four talented daughter’s. Each one is a cut off Kevin in different ways. He will never be gone when his girls are around. It’ll be hard to be in Lagos without Kevin. He was the Irish mayor of this Portuguese paradise. He danced till dawn and brought fun and laughter to all he met. Rosie, Lara, Evie, Molly and Jodie our hearts are broken with Kevin’s passing. We will mourn his passing and celebrate a life well lived. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
