It is with much sadness that I just heard of the passing of my old friend Kieran.
I have great memories of our times spent together in Germany and in Ireland, sharing meals, drinks and stories.
My condolences to Marie, Kevin, Colleen, David, Lar.

Thinking of you, Kieran, with love and treasured memories of the miles shared across the years. You are, and will always remain, a unique and wonderful person. May you be surrounded by angels and gentle light as you make your way to the soft grass.

Remembering Kieran who was my best friend for 50 years. He was a loose cannon who never failed to impress those he met, studied with or under, worked with, or marched alongside( but enough of that one, we never agreed). He had a wonderful sense of the ridiculous which kept us laughing over the years, and a casual approach to the law which resulted both in some absentee periods ( see ’we never agreed’ above) and his mid-life qualification as a lawyer.
He was useless with money but fell in love with an accountant who loved him back, and who provided him with both those so necessary banking facilities and their son and heir, Kevin, who was constantly in his thoughts.
His final years were difficult for all those who loved him. I will remember him with gratitude for our many many years of quirky observations, intense philosophical discussions (over pints!), and the laughter of my invaluable friend.
My deepest sympathies to Marie and Kevin, to his family, and to his many friends in disparate places.

I was very sorry to hear of Kieran's passing. He was a unique person and had many talents. I knew him as a good and kind friend over many years. May he rest in peace.
