I am deeply saddened to hear that Kieran has passed away. You were a very special, witty and gifted man. I was so happy that our paths crossed and i saw you at christmas time to chat and laugh(alot) about our school days at aughnafarcon and ASL castleblayney. I will never forget you and only smile when i think about you.
MR Duffy was the best teacher you could have asked for in history. He always made it enjoyable and the class always enjoyed his sense of humour and stories . A true gentleman and will missed greatly in Athlone Community College .
So sorry to hear of your passing Kieran. You were a great neighbour and you will be sadly missed on our street. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends at this sad time. RIP
Very sad news to hear of your passing Mr. Duffy. You were a great teacher and I always enjoyed going to your class. Every class was interesting, funny and memorable. I remember especially your tales of your beloved cat "puffy". You are remembered fondly by all you taught. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends at this sad time.
Remembering you fondly Kiernan from ASL, Castleblayney and the evening we were all in the hairdressers getting ready for the Debs Ball in the Glencarn. You kept everyone in the salon, especially the hairdresser herself, entertained with your with chararteristic wit. Strangely enough my brother, whom you later met while in UGC, and I used to compare you to Rik Mayall and how sad it is that you both happened to depart this world on the same day. My condolences to all your family at this very sad time. God Bless you Kiernan and I'm sure he will and until we all meet again in heaven, may God hold you in the psalm of his hands.

Such sad news. Kieran was a unique and memorable individual. Galway will be a less enriching place without him.
I first met Kieran in university 21years ago. Wow, but he was, possessed of extraordinary wit and such rare intelligence. He also felt things very deeply, I have memories of his moving me to tears, some of his words I will never forget. The last time we met he spoke about his family and his Mam, he knew he was loved. The world is paved with cruelty but tempered by hope, he told me once when I needed consolation. Your loss is a cruel one but we hope Kieran to see you again.
So sorry to hear of Mr duffys passing he thought me.many years ago in athlone community collage.prayers and thoughts are with his family at this sad time
