Kieran Manning

I have only just heard the sad news of Kieran's passing. I worked with him for a number of years and found him to be a true professional.

We first met Kieran in 2019 during a 3 week trip travelling around China. We were part of a tour group together, guided by Cody from Chengdu, and we bonded almost immediately, becoming what we affectionately refer to ourselves as ‘the Cody family’. Kieran’s warmth and humour were at the centre of our group friendship and we all have such wonderful memories of Kieran’s love for a good book, his partiality to an action movie, his adventurous spirit, his generosity of heart and his amazing ability to remember and pay special attention to all of our individual interests.

We all remained in touch despite our geographical distance (Canada, Scotland, England, Germany and of course, Ireland). We will all miss Kieran and will treasure the very special memories of our time with him in China and beyond. Sending our thoughts and best wishes to all who knew and loved him.

Terribly sorry for your loss, my condolences. Kieran was one of the many well loved Filter regualrs where I worked for over 2 years. You could always guarantee a good chat and your morning being made better by Kieran's presence and contagious laugh & good humour

I only recently got to work with him again on a mutual client and loved catching up with him and hearing all the stories , he never changed . He will be missed by so many but left a mark on so many people .

I first met Kieran during his brief stint in UCC when he studied Commerce before he was accepted for his Actuarial studies in Dublin.
Our mutual love of maths and sport make us immediate friends and we maintained that friendship throughout our lives.
I was always struck by Kieran's extraordinary intellect, wit and memory.
He had an in-depth knowledge of economics and politics.
But he had an equal passion for anything that involved Cork and Ballincollig GAA.
Kieran was always easy to talk to and to keep in touch with and loved his family and friends.
I remember fondly our walks in Fitzgerald Park and along the Marina, especially during the Covid years.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Dear Catherine ,
There are no words that can adequately express my sadness for you at the heartbreaking loss of Kieran, and so soon after Donal.

My oldest and dearest friend , we shared a classroom in Scoil Eoin and BCS. Some of my best days were spent in the company of Kieran at Cork and Ballincollig GAA matches, in Turners Cross and most memorably at a Fleet Foxes concert which he described as self indulgent folk nonsense.
I could only watch on in awe over the last number of years ,as he cared for his ailing father, and then fought his own battle with cancer with great dignity and courage .
He was a gentleman to his

Keiran was a big part of the "Cody Family" of 8 who travelled with our guide Cody, through China from Beijing to Hong Kong in 2019. We kept in touch via our WhatsApp group and some of us met up with him again too. We were sad to hear of his illness and passing. Thought the Requiem Service, which I watched from Arizona, was beautiful and even the Panda from Chengdu (for Erin) got a mention. RIP Keiran and hope your family, friends and work colleagues can find peace from knowing such a wonderful human being.
