My sincere condolences to the Thompson family on the sad passing of Kieran, May he Rest in Peace.

We were extremely sorry to hear about the sad passing of Kieran and would like to express our very deepest sympthy to Catherine and all the Thompson family. Kieran was a man of integrity and kindness. He will be very sadly missed by all who enjoyed the pleasure of his company over many years. We particularly enjoyed our discussions on geology and the mysteries of geophysics. We are thinking of you during this very difficult time. May He Rest in Peace.

Dear Catherine
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Kieran's death though I knew he had not been well for a while. He was such a generous and gentle man and my last memory of him was when we had dinner there with James and Mairead Watson about five years ago and was so warmly welcomed by him - as always. We go back a long time, a common interest being my dad's motoring history and his love of cars. My deepest sympathies to you - he was lucky to have had such care and love in his last days.

Sincere sympathy to Catherine and the Thompson family on Kieran's passing. In my work dealings with Kieran I found him to be well informed and reasonable. He was an avid salmon and sea trout angler but he was also a committed conservationist. Socially, I found Kieran excellent company, engaging and witty but always a gentleman.
