On behalf of its membership, the committee of the Greek-Irish Society would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Kim O’Neill, who passed away on 19 February in Dublin after a long illness. Kim was a member of the society for many years and served on the committee in 2000-2001. An exceptionally warm and engaging person, Kim was always a joy to meet. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Dear Kim,
It still feels impossible to write these words. Nine days have passed, and I still expect to see you, hear your voice, and feel your warm presence in our daily life.
When I came to Greece, everything was new and unfamiliar. Then I met you. From the beginning, you opened your heart to me. You were not just a neighbor ❤️🩹 you became family. In a place far from my own roots, you became my comfort, my support, and my safe smile each day.
From the moment Ilyan was born, you loved him as if he were your own. For two and a half years, you were his constant joy, his best friend, and his guiding angel. The bond you shared was pure and rare. I will always be grateful that he grew up surrounded by your kindness, laughter, and tenderness.
Even through illness, you carried grace. Even in pain, you gave love. Your beauty was not only in your smile, but in your generous and patient heart.
Life will not be the same without you🥹 My heart feels heavier. Ilyan will grow, and I will tell him how deeply you loved him. He will always know he had someone so special in his life..
