I have some great memories of this wonderful lady when she was in her prime, especially when her and Martha took me to Shay Doyle's to celebrate my confirmation although I think they enjoyed it more that I did :-). When our mam passed away in May 1983, Kitty lost her husband less than a month later. I can only imagine the pain that she went through having lost her little sister who we all knew she loved very much and her beloved husband in such a short space of time. A strong woman who wouldn't back down from the Divil himself. Rest in peace Auntie Kitty, you've certainly put a long and worthwhile shift in.
