Our sincere condolences to Matron Kitty's brother Jarlath and the extended Fahy family. As matron in All Hallows, she played a very important role in the formation of those entrusted to her care. She was a very kind and welcoming person, respected by all who came in contact with her. May she now rest in peace.

I was very sorry to hear of Kitty's passing. She was a great lady and a great friend to my mam, Teresa O Shaughnessy. They enjoyed countless holidays and games of golf together. She was always great for stories and words of advice. Condolences to all her family. May she rest in peace. Apologies, I was away for the funeral.

Matron as I knew her was absolutely a force of nature. I was blessed to be in her presence for 5 years and one year as her assistant. She formed so many priests and men who were not ordained as much or more than many faculties.
God bless matron your reward is now in heaven.

I have fond memories of Kitty from my days as a student in All Hallows. She was compassionate ,kind and made you feel that she understood. You always felt better after a visit to her office..

I think I became her pet after David Loftus! To this day I still like a Dunhill. She began in a nursing uniform, to my days, being a fashion diva.

I remember her telling a story of her preparing for some golf dinner dance. The zip in her dress got stuck. Time was passing and she recounted standing in Manson House wonder which CM she would ask for help. A woman in a man's world. He thanked her for asking him.

If you were lucky enough to have a "real" illness she would arrange for Mick Dalys scrambled eggs. Her army of blue coats. "Mrs Sheridan, Mr Moroney said your knockers aren't shinning!"

Fair well dear Matron rest easy under "The Banner of the Lord"

Kitty epitomized all that was good in All Hallows. I felt that God in his providence had chosen her for her important role in the formation of young men who were destined to minister in many countries. The good she dis is inestimable. May she enter into eternal rest with the Lord she served so well.

It is with great sadness I hear of Kitty’s death. She was a truly great and kind matron to all in the College. She was especially attentive and caring for all the resident priests on the staff. Her considerate care of the I’ll or the elderly was exceptional and always kind. We all owe her a great debt of gratitude. She will be fondly remembered in prayers and masses.

Kitty, you made this (then) young Welshman feel welcome and safe through a remarkable mix of kindness and spirit (albeit on occasion with a spine-tingling tone). Thank you for all you did for me and for us all at All Hallows. Be blessed with the wonderful reunion that awaits you in our Father's house. Gorffwys Mewn Heddwch.

Kitty or matron as she was known to us who lodged at All Hallows College was deeply respected and revered by us all. She treated the college like her own home and gave her life to the needs of staff and students alike. My mother hailed from Dunmore co Galway so when kitty heard that I was well looked after. Great memories, great times, rest in peace now Kitty and inherit the blessings of a life well lived. Hopefully they have a golf course up there and you will be happy out. Sympathies to the Fahy family and to All Hallows Alumni who were cared for by Matron.

She was mother Goose who always watched out for any changes in her gaggle of goslings.
One morning she stopped me in the corridor and said “are you eating enough?
You look like a starving greyhound. Call to the surgery after 11am break.”

An institution in her own right, I have nothing but fond and dear memories of this amazing lady. A very proud Dunmore woman, her dedication and utter commitment to the staff and students at All Hallows was without parallel. As a student, to hear her call your name in the distance evoked an almost primal need to duck and cover. Her commitment to excellence inevitably meant work was to be done and you had fallen within her sights as the means to accomplish whatever task was at hand. She brooked no nonsense, but would do anything for the good of those entrusted to her care. This great-hearted woman was a source of inspiration for many, and her service over so many years. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

A wonderful lady who was committed in her vocation. May she Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory!

Very sad to hear of the death of Matron. Her death brings a major closure of the essence of what AHC is/was. These past few years have seen the passing of many of the ‘big’ figures of college life. Beyond her ability to call a name along the long corridor demanding attention, always demonstrated much care and support to all. Her prescription of Seven Up at times of sickness was always a ‘tonic’. Thank you Miss Fahy for all your care and kindnesses, and for telling us how it really was. With gratitude and prayers.
